On Sunday, September 7, 2025, corresponding to 14 Rabi‘ al-Awwal 1447 AH, a total lunar eclipse will occur.
This phenomenon will be visible across the continents of Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia. According to astronomical calculations, the eclipse will begin at 6:28 p.m. (Iraq local time) as the Moon enters the penumbral phase, noting that this stage cannot be observed with the naked eye.
At 7:27 p.m., the partial eclipse will begin and continue until 8:30 p.m.
The total eclipse will start exactly at 8:30 p.m., reaching its maximum after 41 minutes, at 9:11 p.m. The Moon will then return to the partial eclipse phase starting at 9:52 p.m.
This stage will end at 10:56 p.m., as the Moon re-enters the penumbra. Finally, the eclipse will conclude completely at 11:55 p.m.
It is worth noting that the duration of the total phase of the eclipse will last 1 hour and 22 minutes
